Fiesta Texas

First I want to say a big THANK YOU to the IT dept from Ricks work for getting the program to fix the computer!!
Saturday Matthew had another soccer game and he did really well. He said Mom I only scored one goal but I had fun!! I didn't really keep score but it was close we just tell Matthew he won and go on.

On Sunday we went to Fiesta Texas for Aubrey's last cheer competition. When you bought a spectator seat for the cheer competion you got to spend the rest of the day in the park. Matthew couldn't wait to go on the rides. Aubrey did well for her last competition but unfortantely the pictures didn't turn out to well. We're proud of you Aubrey you did a really good job. I really need to read the manual on this camera.

We first took the train to the other side of the park, we probably could have gotten there faster by walking but Aubrey and Matthew wanted to take the train...so we waited 20 minutes for the train to come back to the station. The first ride we did was the ferris wheel Matthew had his eye on the ferris wheel from the moment we got to the park. We had fun and got to see a good view of the park and see what was coming up next or our adventure.
Here is a picture of the family making ugly faces. Rick doesn't like to take pictures and told Matthew to make an ugly face if he didn't want to take the picture. Thanks RICK!!

Our next ride was the Scooby Doo Haunted House. On the way there we ran into TWEETY BIRD Aubrey took a picture with him but Matthew said NO WAY Mom.

I took some pictures in the haunted house of Matthew and Aubrey shooting at the GHOSTS, Don't know if I was suppose to but I did.

We meaning Matthew Aubrey and Me rode a Taz ride and I found out I really can't handle the rides any more. Going in circles really doesn't settle to well with me. I had to ride with Aubrey beacause she wasn't tall enough to ride by herself. Here are a couple of pictures.

Matthew rode with a girl so he wouldn't have to ride by himself. He wanted me to ride with him but I told he had to ride with the girl since Aubrey had to ride with an adult since she wasn't tall enough. He was very considerate and understood. SO proud of him. Good Job Matthew.

Till next time!!

Busy, Busy, Busy and Recovery

Life has been a little hectic lately. Between Aubrey's cheer leading and Matthew now playing soccer we always seem to be on the run. From the title you read the word busy and the word recovery. In mid February I ended up having a hysterectomy, although in the end it will be worth it the recovery has been a little rough.

This past weekend was Matthew's first soccer game with the VYSO. I was unable to attend but Rick and his parents were there to take the pictures for me.

Coach Stanford helping Matthew get ready for the game! Coach Stanford is actually the girls high school soccer coach. We are very fortunate to have a great coach for our 1st soccer season.
This is a picture of the team minus one player. We only have 6 team members and 3 players get to play on the field at a time.

Here is a picture of Matthew and his teammate Shepard discussing their game plan.

And a picture of Matthew going after the ball.
Although we lost the game Matthew had a great time playing soccer. He can't wait until the next game.

While Rick was with Matthew I was with Aubrey in Houston for nationals cheer leading. My parents drove us since I'm still recovering from the surgery, I'm not allowed to lift anything over 10 pounds. Which is very hard not to do since the kids want me to pick them up.

Aubrey had a fun weekend, she actually did her best this past weekend even after the coach changed her spot so she had to learn a little bit more moves for the cheer. Hopefully when I get the video in I will be able to post part of it.

Here are a couple of pictures of Aubrey this weekend. I don't know why Aubrey's pics are larger than Matthew's I guess it's the camera's.Aubrey getting ready to go back stage and warm up

Hopefully next time it won't be sooo long between posts.

Our Little Cheerleader

This weekend Aubrey and I traveled to San Antonio for her first cheerleading exhibition. We went with my friend Laura and her daughter Samantha. Here is a couple of pictures of the girls on the way to San Antonio. As you can see we had doughnut holes for breakfast. She thought they were YUMMY!

Here is Samantha who is watching a video along the way. The girls had fun watching the videos as we were driving up there. Nice and peaceful except for the cheerful giggles!!

Here is a picture of Samantha and Aubrey all ready for the competition. I did get up early and curl Aubrey's hair but as usual with Aubrey's board straight hair it lost all of it's curl on the way up to San Antonio. She still looked abdorable though.

Close up of Aubrey heading down to the stage to warm up.

Group photo of the Manning Tiny Stars.

The girls stretching and warming up before their performance.

Here are some photos of the girls doing the performance.

Aubrey with her trophy! She was so excited she couldn't wait to show it to Mom and Dad.

Samantha and Aubrey with their trophies.

Aubrey with her princess wand with a heart on it. We waited a LOOOONG time in line for the clown to make all of the balloons. But well worth it.

Next competition is in February and Matthew will be starting soccer practice in February with Games starting the first weekend in March.

So Busy

So life has been a little CRAZY. I haven't posted in a long while so I will just do a little catch up.

Christmas was great the kids got LOTS of toys from Santa and Rick and I got them a riding atv toy. They think it's fun and are always wanting to ride them when we get home.. We took them to the property while we were picking up sticks and they rode around on them all day.

Post christmas pics of 4 wheelers and christmas pics. here

Also my sister in law Deanne got married on December 27th aboard the Carnival Ecstasy. It was a nice ceremony and I will post some pictures of the wedding.

insert wedding pictures.

As mentioned above we worked on the property burning brush and picking up tons of sticks on New Year's Eve, New Years Day and New years weekend. Lots of hard manuel labor, that I am so not use to. I was so sore. It was like I had worked out and ton like a thousand lunges.
But the property is looking better and soon we will be able to look at house builders and putting together a house plan.
