Christmas time is just around the corner

This weekend All of us girls went to Houston to go to Garden Ridge. As you can see from the picture below we found a few items (Ha Ha). We left Edna around 7:40am. Yes we had to wait on Lisa no surprise she will be late to her own funeral. But all in all it was a good trip. We enjoyed it and need to do it more often.

Matthew finally got his birthday present from Aunt Lynn and Uncle Bobby. It's a marble racer. He was so excited, he said it was AWESOME! A big thank you to Aunt Lynn and Uncle Bobby.

As for Aubrey her gift was a shopping basket with boxes of food and some vegetables. She was Super Excited. She even puts her sunglasses on and says look at me mom I'm going grocery shopping. Another big thanks to Aunt Lynn and Uncle Bobby.
After all of the christmas shopping, I was ready to go home and decorate my house for the holidays. First thing I did was put up the Advent Calendar. The kids can't wait till december comes around so that they can have their candy canes from the snow man.

The Mantle without flash. I don't think this is the garland I used last year but I'm really proud of the mantle I think turned out cute.

The stocking hanging in the middle if for our dog Jack, but seeing how my niece called me last night asking if I wanted another dog like Jack, I do believe it will be Jack and Turbos stocking.

The mantle with flash.
The Christmas Tree close up without the flash. I found this bow at Garden Ridge and just had to have it. The white parts have peppermints with holly and berries on it and then the Candy Cane stripe on the the other streamer.

Full length of christmas tree without the flash. I took the pictures before I wrapped some christmas gifts. But you get the jist.

Happy Holidays! I know it seems early to decorate but with my CRAZY shcedule it was the only time I had to do it.

Spider Man vs. Tinkerbell

So it that time again where we dress up and head out to a Halloween Party. This year we ended up going to Rick's Cousins house Kim so the kids could do a hayride and play games. They had a blast - eventhough Aubrey didn't go on the hayride she said it was too scary. Here are a few pics of the evening.

Noah's Ark

Today the kids had a preschool musical of Noah's Ark. It was very adorable to see all the kids dressed up as animals. Aubrey was dressed as a butterfly and sang "The Caterpillar Song" . She is definitely not shy she was singing her heart out above the crowd. The teachers dressed her in the biggest butterfly wings I think they could find. She was too cute.

Matthew's class was dressed as teddy bears they were all so adorable. They sang "Teddy Bear Teddy Bear". He was a good preformer too. He had more songs that he sang with the rest of the classes. He really enjoyed it.

After the program Memaw and I went to the kids classes in hopes to get some better pictures of Aubrey in her wings, but they had already changed her back. Oh well. I did get some pictures of Matthew in his class.

I will post some videos of the kids preforming thier songs later. Have to work late tonight but hopefully will be able to post them this weekend.

Rocky Creek Maze

This past weekend we took a short drive to Moulton, Texas. It's about an hour away which isn't that bad, the kids just kept asking all the way there are we at the Surprise place yet? My friend Debra from nursing school came with us along with her children Lauren and Alex.

The surprise place is called Rocky Creek Maze - they have few things to do there. The kids really enjoyed it. They have a hay slide, train barrel ride, duck races, and a corn maze.

Here is the web address if you want to take a look. www.RockyCreekMaze.com

the above pictues are of the hay slide the kids had the best time on this we probably spent an hour just on the hay slide.
This setup they had pumpkins for sale, we didn't get any but too cute not to take pictures with the scarecrow. The following picture is a cute cut out of some animals in a corn field dad didn't get the whole picture of them but you get the jist of it. It says We're lost at Rocky Creek Maze.
Here is a picture of the kids on the train barrel ride. A good use for the John Deer riding lawn mower. Here we are in the corn maze getting lost.

Picture of all of us in the middle of the corn maze we are looking for clue # 3. There were a total of 10 clues. We did the first 5 and the kids were hot and tired and wanted out of the maze.
Here is a picture of the maze that we went through.

At the above picture Matthew and Aubrey are playing with the duck races. When the wind hit all the water blew back on to them. Aubrey was totally soaked after playing. But they had fun.

This is a video of Aubrey and I going down the hay slide. She wouldn't go down by herself so Mom to the Rescue.

I loaded more videos last night but I don't know where they went. Will have to load on Thursday night since I work till 10pm tonight. There was one of the kids milking a cow (fake of course), one of Matthew going down the slide and the last one was of the train ride.

Waiting out Ike and Birthdays!!

So this year Matthew turned 4 and Aubrey turned 3, although we didn't do a big party for the kids they had a blast. We actually ended up doing 3 little parties since Hurricane Ike ruined our other plans.
One night we did a pre birthday party with Aunt Deanne so she could get on the road and head back to Little Rock. Here are a couple of pictures of the kids with their gifts.

And here is one of the balloons I picked up. They were Super excited about the balloons.

After this little party - the next day we headed to Cuero to stay with my parents and pretty much the rest of the family along with my brothers friends.
We had a good time and so did the kids. We had another party for them, made a birthday cake together, played washers and lots of games. Here are some pictures of it.

The kids opening their fishing poles. Matthew got Batman and Aubrey got Barbie.
